Currently working in a Management Consulting role in Big 4 (not front office). Got an offer from Product Based company that is more of value consulting and business development role. and Its a new team catering to Partner ecosystem of the company. I am doing good in my current role.

Trying to renegotiate comp as the scope of my role has increased. My role is part Project Manager + Program Manager + Content Management + Consumer Insights Research. Right now at 125 + bonus but no stock grants/options. Looking at total comp in tech seems those roles are closer to $200-250k total comp. I asked for stock options and they said not possible (acquisition bureaucracy), advice?

I don't know why I always have less confidence and hope about the outcome of an interview when it's being conducted by a white male (I'm a young black female). I always worry that they will see me as "not ideal" or "not as smart" for a role, even when I KNOW I more than qualify. I've never felt fully comfortable because of trying to guess or anticipate their expectations. Obviously, I'm going to give it my best, but just wondering if others think about that when it comes to interviews.

Obviously MBB are the top consulting firms, but would people feel different about prestige based on service line? As in, is it better to be any type of BA/EM/etc at McK than doing the “sexiest” strategy work at a B4/tier 2? Would any of y’all at Tier 2s accept any lateral role at MBB? Curious to hear thoughts

I am a registered sales assistant which means I have my series 7. I also have the 63 and my Life & Health license. I was a financial advisor but the role is commission only so I decided to take a role as an assistant for some time to learn etc. I really like my role, but I only make 32k a year and after taxes I only take home about 25k. I have a gut feeling that I’m not being paid market value but it’s tough to find comparable salaries. Do you think $15.38/hr is a fair wage in this case?
