Dads of teenagers - parent of a toddler here. Looking for some honest answers. I know that every stage of parenting has its ups and downs, but I pretty much only hear about how much parenting a teenager sucks. So question - if you had to choose to relive the toddler stage or teenager stage, which would you pick and why?

Both are fine. They can give you great moments and terrible ones. Though I have girls and think there is more tension between them and their mom as teens.

I think every toddler is kind of a pain, just because they need constant care and a small capacity to handle adversity. Teenagers the variance is much wider. You can have a teenager that is basically fine, responsible and trustworthy, pulling away a bit to step away to become an adult but just a nice member of the family. You can also have a terror that is much worse than any toddler because they are so much more independent and capable of mischief.

I wouldn't mind another run with either but toddler years are of course a bit hazy with distance.

I would say how you raise them as toddlers directly correlates to how you experience them as teenagers. As hard as it may be to get that peace and quiet, keep them off electronics and social media as long as possible and surround them with love. Electronics and social media are pure evil for kids. Used to be don’t give them so much sugar, internet is the new kid crack and it’s bad. I would relive toddler years to do this.

Advice and/or consolation anyone? My wife and I (both above average health 30year olds) were trying for 11 months before getting pregnant and then had a week 5 early miscarriage a few months back. If the stress and surprise of just how difficult it apparently is to get pregnant wasn’t enough, the miscarriage put us over. We got back to it and have been trying for the last 2 months again, still no luck. We’re freaking out… all we want is a family. Any similar stories? Advice? 😢

Seems that the vaccine that usually takes more than 10 years to develop, test for side effects and go through the regulation process is being very fast tracked to roll out - which is a super great thing to potentially eradicate the virus. on the other side of the spectrum, people with life sciences n healthcare insights, how reliable and safe would you say vaccine (being fast tracked) is...?
