Dear former and current GSAPers, can I get an honest profile review?

If I get GSAP, does a 635 GMAT Focus (690 on old GMAT) give me a solid chance of getting into Michigan Ross or Duke Fuqua? Both have avg GMAT ~729 and avg GPA ~3.4. I'm worried that my stats are below the average (my undergrad engineering GPA was 3.3). I think I've got a solid story, and seeing Ross's 90% acceptance rate of GSAPers gives me hope, but I'm a really bad test taker and not sure I can improve my GMAT score.

Do you think culinary school is worth it? I've been a waiter for a year but really want to be a chef. The people I work with say to just start in the kitchen and work my way up but I think culinary school might get me where I want to be faster. The cost is pretty insane though. Any advice?

What was your experience with the LSAT? Do you think it's gatekeeping, preventing students who can't afford it (often people of color) from entering the field? OR is it helping future attorney's of color by giving them a chance to go to a top school regardless of grades? I've seen questions about the LSAT all day and just want to know how people feel.
