Too late he/she already called the manager
Y’all OP may be a new consultant with few travel experience. Let’s be civil.
OP: welcome to travel hell, sometimes you’ll make it home 15 hours after schedule, switching airports and the only think you’ll have will be a hangover from the airport bars. Good luck on your travels!
On one hand - yes, civility and kindness are always how we should lead. On another hand - there are articles everywhere about the increased violence and conflict on flights today. A flight attendant literally got teeth knocked out by a passenger the other week. Knowing context and environmental factors is critical in consulting. So this is best case an ignorant newbie, worst case someone who is entitled and lazy. Can’t tell which.
That’s.. cute

I am so glad I left consulting. Y’all are intense
Asking to be compensated for a 1 hr delay and posting in multiple forums about it is "pretty intense".
Nothing. You get nothing.
No
Email them. Did something similar woth American, got 2500 points.
think the cutoff for points/voucher is actually 90 min. won’t be more than $50
For one hour, it’s not worth it.
For serious delay, your company might allow you to use your work travel insurance for personal trips too: check what they cover.
If not, then you’d better have paid all your travel with a credit card that includes travel protection. Again, check what they cover.
For regular delays both processes are very straightforward, you get paid very quickly.
