Next Q. Do MBBs have to use toilet paper when they go to the bathroom?
@A2. C&M CDP program, now in MC CMT
I didn’t - I just told staffing to put me on anything they think would be interesting, and I’ve only been on the beach for ~5 days in 4 years.
Networking obviously helps if you want to work in a specific sector or with a certain partner
Staffing is managed by dedicated staffers below the level of Junior Partner (AP). Networking is required to build the cadre of supporters absolutely critical to make it to AP and beyond
No we have not. AP was changed to Associate Partner (from Associate Principal). A handful of folks might refer to APs as “junior partners” but that is not their role.
Our staffing is very entrepreneurial - you can depend on your staffer to put you somewhere but it may not make programmatic sense for you. Much better to network for projects in my view
No networking required
Sell your own projects and create your own role 😉
Only if you have a regitt personally, they are some many area of practices, application platform, growth platform, private sector, public sector, national projects, international projects. Seek what your aspirations desire and don’t get too comfortable, it’s not the forth quarter, lots of game left to play.
I was about to say... A1 did you just want to show off your vocab? If so then you’re doing great!
To OP, yes we also network. Some of the best cases don’t even make it to the staffing sheet.
Thanks!
SM1, I’m junior level. It’s not my job to sell projects 😉
OP it’s everyone’s job in consulting. Just because you are junior doesn’t mean you can’t find opportunities for your clients that your account leadership team can help you close
