Hey everyone, I got a call from Deloitte recruiting on Wednesday of last week discussing salary requirements and location. They told me that the team really liked me and that they were going to work on an offer. I got a call on Friday saying one group has approved the offer but they are waiting on others. I haven’t heard much since then. Should I be worried? How much longer will I have to wait?

I just try to stay off video
Actually most people use blur because their surroundings are the complete opposite to atrocious. I've seen partners in calls with staff that use blur but then when they're on leadership calls you can see their executive desk setup with a fancy bookshelf and sliding ladder rig. It's all perception.
This has been my experience/assumption about the purpose as well
I love the blur feature. I just don’t want people to know where I am. Sometimes I work from my bf’s apt.
I think it varies by firm. A lot of people at my new firm use it, even though it looks like they have really nice backgrounds.
I don't like the look so I sit in front of a wall instead.

Ditto. But I wish I have a nice space with plants and bookshelves to show in the background instead lol.

I hate the blur feature. I bought a room divider. It wasn't cheap, but it was so worth it.

I think it works fine. Don’t need my office mates judging me for my unmade bed visible in the background … I try and neaten up a bit even with blur on though! 😂
