Am I doing a mistake? Going from PwC to Accenture for $45K more (113 Vs 158), and a role that’s better aligned with what I was doing before joining & what I want to be doing? I joined PwC for the experience and the exit opportunity it can provide me in the future, but it’s hard not to accept this role from Accenture! Decision need to be made by end of this week….

Everything is in your head. For some people money can bring everything, for some people everything can bring nothing.
TX or CA, you are in America not in Africa or Middle East.
OP get off your high CA horse bruh…

OP I’m assuming you’ve never left the bubble of San Francisco and seen what America is all about….. one of the characteristics of being educated is to travel and learn about people and places. It may also help to turn off the ultra left and ultra right media sources. Look me up when you visit Texas and I’ll gladly show you around 🙂
Lol one thing that I've observed in the states is that Democratic States do not have better infrastructure. In most cases republicab states have far better infrastructure
That's what boggles me. How come Republicans with all their shit still have better states and better infrastructure. Also less homeless and less crimes.
Only exception is Maine, New Hamsphire, Virginia but that's mostly a swing/split state.
No way. Don’t think CA is that better than TX. I’m sure many would prefer Texas.

Texas is just good for saving money, there is nothing else in entire state. If you are into outdoors, you are wasting time in Texas. However 60k in California is not gonna cut

Lol,
Texas has way better quality of life compared to California. If read any news, people are moving from California to Texas and not the other way round.
On that note, I would assume that 99.99 percent people on this app would accept a job that pays 1 million a year in Alabama than a job that pays 100K in NYC or SFO, assuming everything else is same.

This!
I am sorry but this is one of the most ridiculous statements I have heard in a while. I wouldn’t consider you lucky even if you were a millionaire in SF
Chief
Umm you’d probably be homeless in SF if you are only making 60k
Are y’all responding sure OP isn’t sarcastic?

This... I am pretty sure OP was poking people to get all these reactions.
Hell no, 60k is poverty level in SFO. And with 1million, you'd be comfortable regardless of the city
1 million in Texas is like 5 million in ca. I will choose Texas instead of 60k in SFO lol

Ok I’d go to SF only if I’m making 3 times what I’m making in Texas. SF is beautiful and there are probably more jobs but the bay is turning into ghetto. The quality of life in Texas is much better. It’s not glamorous for sure but at least I’d save in Texas with that 60k. A millionaire gets this house in Texas https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/31-Wood-Cove-Dr-The-Woodlands-TX-77381/2146029194_zpid/
Hey Bhagwan, what did I just read!!! Beta, do you know of anyone who lived in Texas. I lived in SF and in Dallas (not Plano, Frisco but Dallas city). And honestly, if Dallas had outdoor activity options, it’d be 100 times better than SF. Without outdoor options, still better than SF. That’s my personal opinion. Happy to elaborate
