Yes. File as “ head of household”

Individual insurance. Have been doing it for the last 20 yrs. I also pay for LTC as well. All itemized deduction.

like

Are they also filing?

likesmart

They don’t have income but I think we should file for them. I don’t know if i should claim them as dependents or they file by themselves

You can claim your parents as dependents, which makes you eligible for HoH, if you provide more than half of their support including maintaining a home, and their income is less than the threshold ($5,200 for 2025).

like

yes, mine dont live with me but i still claim them as dependents as long as we cover more than 50% of their expenses.

You'll have to check with your specific state on the impact. Claiming them may mean your income and assets could be used in determining your parents elgibility for the state funded program.

Keep in mind that if they previously qualified for Medicaid or any assistance this may disqualify them. The tax savings may not be worth it in this scenario.

I have asked for 60, but that’s out of their budget. I’m thinking of accepting the offer only if 55 is fixed without any variable. What do tou think guys? Is it worth a switch? And is the variable paid fully usually? Thanks in advance for your insights.

So Becker was supposed to charge me $600 to update for unlimited access since my account was due to expire in March. I called them in December to make payment. Now 8months later...they reach out to me saying they only charged $35. I just checked my bank statement and they are right but i don't have $600 sitting around...What do i do? Thoughts?

Oof. True or not true? I don't know if I would still make the same choice if I knew how things were going to end up. I tend to be on the "PBM's ruined pharmacy" brigade. If you knew then what you know now, would you still go to pharmacy school?

Recently moved into Tech Sales. Frustrated with my Salary (32K base/year, negligible bonus potential of a few K). Was making ~3K/week on average in my previous role which was commission only, no base. Feel like I am completely wasting my time and potential. Saw the cut as necessary evil initially in order to move into tech sales and make multi six figure commissions later on with potential to reach 7 figures in total comp. At least my current role is with enterprise accounts which. Thought?

I wish I wasn’t adaptable. Humans aspire for a greater level of comfort and once achieved, adopt that as their new baseline.
