I don't think so. I am an introvert, and I like when introvert recruiters approach me. I feel they understand me better, and we go straight to the point.
Not necessarily. Although you need to go out of your comfort zone on certain instances. But being an introvert doesn't automatically have a direct negative effect on your success as a tech recruiter.
I'd consider myself an ambivert - when I feel comfortable and confident, I'm outgoing. But I also enjoy alone time and need to recharge.
Sometimes ppl think extroverted means friendly and outgoing. I’m an introvert, I prefer to be alone and social situations are exhausting. But I’m still very friendly/persistent when I’m recruiting. But by the end of the day I’m exhausted by all the talking and being peppy. So you don’t have to be an extrovert but it prob helps.
I think it definitely helps, at least being gregarious/nice enough to get candidates through the door. I don't think being grumpy or bland really helps when you're trying to convince candidates to join. Kinda like being a salsperson really
Hi! It helps. One good thing about being an extrovert in this line of job is that your social battery don't easily get drained. Speaking from experience, of course.
Not at all. I'm an introvert myself and I don't struggle as much with this line of work. You just have to push yourself harder and sometimes pretend like you have everything under control.
Not necessarily. But it will help you big time. One of the things we need to possess is the ability to connect with people.
I think so, yes. People skills are definitely a must-have if you are going to be a recruiter. You need to be able to read people you know. It takes a while to master but it is possible.
