You will go through the same interview process anyway. I’d say there’s no difference
If you’re deciding which to apply to maximize your chances you’re going about the wrong way. That said, if you have the right experience mck digital should be easier BUT it’s also quite limiting in comparison, unless it’s your passion I’d avoid it
I don’t think it’s limiting at all. The lines are very blurred and as a digital BA I barely did half of my projects in anything even remotely related to digital. If I wanted to go do a classic strategy project that door was always open. You just get first pick for digital related projects (plus an extra holiday party).
Digital requires the same generalist skillset with the same bar in case interviews + technology knowledge / experience / degree so is by definition harder. Usually only a couple of offers per year per office are made in Digital (at the Business Analyst level) so is usually more competitive too.
Depends on which you’re better qualified for.
If you have any sort of digital experience, digital is easier. If you’re coming direct from undergraduate, digital is easier. Same recruitment process but different number of applicants per spot.
The bar for interviews is the same as BAs in Digital do generalist cases and vice versa. I would disagree that digital is easier. If anything I found there were more candidates being interviewed per spot in Digital than generalist. This applies to the integrative consultant roles and not specialist roles of course.
C1 - i’m curious about the statement. If the same general skill set is required from digital consultants, then why have integrative consultants at all on those types of work?
The answer I’m “trying to get here” is the accurate one. That’s plainly the reason I asked the question. I am not portraying a different experience and have no reason to speak for my firm on this issue, as I am trying to learn about yours. I’m sorry you’ve experienced such passive aggression in your life that you can’t see a simple inquiry for what it is.
