No.
I’m grateful to be gainfully employed.
It’s a blessing.

You’re the person who gives me the dread.

I love my job and I still dread work. For me it’s not so much the work as it is dreading certain meetings or people and the general sense of spending my life tucked away in an office instead of being independently wealthy traveling the world.
I got on my Copilot set to think deeper mode and asked the question, how can I build wealth using AI, considering my work history. I loaded my resume and it came up with some pretty good ideas. I’ve been developing useful assets using AI and training the UI, by feeding it the right constraints and documenting the process using Readme files, which it seems to prefer.
While I’m still looking for a w-2 job, I’ve noticed I’m getting more AI related offers.
Anyway, I’ve set up the assets for sale with square and I’m hoping I can make money with this side hustle while I sleep, and figure out how to capture the stack and process in my resume.
Wish me luck!
OP are you me?
Don’t think you’ll stop dreading work if you have a company of your own 😅
It's called the Sunday Fear. In the depths of it right now.
Sunday scaries*
I might dread it…if I had a client. I’ll probably be laid off soon. They should lay off the MDs that aren’t selling work instead. But no, clearly it is our fault that there are more people than there are projects.
Yes. Going to probably leave consulting after I get my bonus
Where you headed?
Yes. Would love to just play tennis for money or become a bs influencer but I’m a fatass and have 0 subscribers so, job it is.
I want to start buying multi family houses, renovate, and rent them out. And just build up a portfolio of them. But I don’t have the capital. Feel like I’d be way less stressed and happier
It was a good sign that I was burning out and/or time for a change… things are way better now
@Consultant 2 - where did you go? Any tips for us wanting to make a switch? I have been doubling down on certs and whatnot while I can and would love something new.
Tbh yeah, been really dreading work. Its my 4 year in this career but man am I beat. Really want to exit but the market doesnt help
If you are young enough and smart enough. Do it.
Yes
By ' dread work' do you mean the work itself or the workplace or both?
Both
