Does anyone else find that even though the cannabis industry is booming, budtenders lack basic benefits like decent pay, healthcare, PTO, vacation, maternity leave? My company was acquired recently by a much larger company and they considered my pregnancy a “pre-existing condition” therefore I got nothing for maternity leave although the prior company had pretty much accepted my claim. There’s much more but I’m pretty disgusted in this industry.

Hi ladies, I am nearly at the point where I want to start having kids. However, I have made a career change somewhat recently (about 1.5 years ago) so I am not really experienced in the tech industry. Would having kids be detrimental at this point in my career (is it always detrimental)? Has anyone had experience of having a big career in Tech and being a mum? Any tips or advice?
Note: I do have a very supportive husband but his work is not very flexible necessarily.
