Yes. Taking magnesium supplements regularly seems to help.
Yes ☹️ migraines, back pain, joint pain, headaches, nausea, cravings, anxiety, all before and after but I have POS and it’s part of it but I keep feeling like there’s is something wrong with my body it’s so hard to lose weight and to not hate myself for feeling bad all the time. I’m feeling a little better now but it’s very heavy I need to make amends with my body specially my ovaries and what causes this
I have a friend who does if they also eat specific food triggers. Periods cause lots of different inflammatory responses… I get joint issues and sometimes random hives. What fun!
Yes - I usually have a few days prior to my cycle starting that are awful. My migraine doctor has me taking anti inflammatories for about a week around that time, which has brought down the severity and made it so that I don’t have to miss work every month.
100% - knocks me out for a whole day, sometimes two. Caffeine helps, and there’s an essential oil stick you can buy on Amazon that you roll on your neck and temples which has personally helps me as soon as I feel one coming on.
No but I get awfully emotional. And get migraines when a rain is coming in. I can tell on a cloudless day that it's going to rain 😅
I used to when I was on the bc pill. It’s a known side effect that they never told me about. They stopped when I went off
Yes! I started getting migraines immediately after I hit puberty. I just had one yesterday due to this reason. It has to do with the natural drop in hormones. I hate them
Yes, I do it is very common actually. I researched about it because I used to have them all the time.
However, keep in mind that this can also be a sign of endometriosis. So if you have other issues like feeling dizzy, very strong cramps, feeling nauseous or inconsistent periods in terms of frequency, you should talk to your doctor and ask to do some tests.
They are less frequent and less intense since I got the procedure done for my endometriosis. That’s why I think it can be related. I used to have them every circle for 2 days and now I have them from time to time and I recover quickly.
Otherwise my tips to make them stop is to take painkillers that you dilute in water because they are quickly absorbed, caffeine also helps, and laying in bed in the dark help as well. Avoid screens and light in general.
Removing sugar and caffeine and drinking more water were game-changers! If you can't do it the entire month, at least a week or so before your period. Also, activities that help reduce stress.
No. I get very nauseous smh
Thanks guys! It’s only recently I’ve been getting them before period and can’t wfh, so it’s haaaaard in the office
Gives me nausea and dizzy spells which suck
So a bit stressful to have that at work or cause you to be perceived as weak because of it
