Does anyone have or had in the past the Bank of America Premium Rewards card? I feel like I can do better for getting cash back on spending, not necessarily for travel … There is so many cards these days and looking for recommendation i especially from those who had this card.

Closed my BofA rewards and accounts and moved over to Chase. Better online banking, cx, rewards, and etc. Points are more valuable and go further whether you go for freedom, preferred or reserve cards. Even if you go for more travel themed cards like preferred r reserve, you can still convert points for cash back online. Can also look into capital one venture x cards

BOA cards only really become worth it when you have preferred rewards and get the 75% bonus. I don't have that particular card but my no fee 1.5% boa unlimited cash rewards gets 2.625% cash back on everything, no limits/exclusions. We also have the customized cash card that gets us 5.25% on online shopping but the quarterly limit is relatively low.

The card you referenced has a $95 annual fee and seems only marginally better than the no fee unlimited. I suppose if you are going for the increased sign up bonus that card may be appealing. For ongoing travel spend 2% (or 3.5% with preferred rewards) back is just ok and you'd be better off with Chase IMO.

SM1 I also have the Customized Cash Rewards Bank of America card — how are you getting the 5.25% ? I thought highest is 3% ? (out to $2500). I’m a Gold tier Member currently fly so also getting the 25% increase

Yes, I don't keep cash in their bank accounts because their rates are not competitive but I was able to roll my IRA over to ML, get a new account bonus, and then eventually reach the 75% tier through additional contributions and growth.

My question is, is it realistic for a 25 year old young professional to handle dealing with all the extra curricular’s that come with owning a rental property ?

Can someone help me understand how backdoor Roth works in my situation?

I contribute the $19.5K max to a 401K each year. Would backdoor Roth be (A) the ability to roll $6K of that $19.5K into a Roth? or (B) an incremental $6K that I could contribute to a separate IRA then backdoor into a Roth?

Asked another way, does backdoor Roth allow me to actually contribute $25.5K each year, or does it just allow $6K of my $19.5K contribution to build in a Roth?

Thanks!
