Does anyone have tips for breaking into the audio-advertising space in Toronto? Aka working for an Audio House, or other Ad Agencies that focus on shooting audio/video for advertisements.

As an audiophile & musician who's worked in marketing the past 5 years its a notable pivot, but seems more interesting than what I currently do...

In talks with A&M to come over to their TAG practice from EY FDD as senior associate. Base salary is very competitive on top of the alluring "bonus" structure. 2 questions:

1. Do they normally offer sign on bonuses?
2. Is their any disadvantage between A&M FDD compared to B4 FDD in terms of exit ops down the road? Trying to look 5 years down the line

Most of my bowls are currently all about lay-offs and long times in between client projects, regardless of industry/function. How do firms calculate how much parental leave to provide, either paid or unpaid. Or do they just pick a number, like “yeah they can get to know their kid in a few weeks and I couldn’t possibly have that attorney out for 12 weeks?” I’m at a small firm, no FMLA or state requirement. We get four weeks paid and four weeks unpaid. Would like to push for more but not sure how to argue costs side of it.
