According to Hyatt, you will have to pay the resort fee at MGM properties.
However, depending on your Hyatt status, you can do a match to the M Life program and while you will still pay the resort fee, you will get other perks like free parking, upgrades and dining discounts.

Yes, you will pay resort fees. I’ve stayed in Vegas, exact scenario you listed, and you will pay.

Looks like they’re not waived

Thanks for the responses. Just called Hyatt (which I probably should've done in the first place). Resort fees for MGM properties are NOT waived, even if they are award stays.
Just a heads up - Vegas resorts are often very low/reasonable prices, especially now. May be cheaper to pay out of pocket than the equivalent value using Hyatt points!
