Does it make sense to go from S3 at Big 4 audit to a Corporate accounting position, if my goal is to move into FP&A? Talked to a recruiter and was told that getting corporate industry experience after Big4 is necessary before moving into FP&A. Is that true?

Recently accepted a temp role as an HR admin for a former employer. Previously interned there & left because my supervisor did not have any growth opportunities planned out for me; this was in spite of my stellar performance, as reflected in my 90 day review. She has since left the company, but there’s crazy turnover in the company & in the HR department in particular. Just that an HR coordinator resigned. Is it worth going back into a dumpster fire w/ no leadership to gain experience?

Those of you who have left consulting for Program/Project Management at tech companies (not Product), what do you think of the switch? Have heard anecdotally that work can be uninteresting and career progression suspect, but seems like a very chill, high paying exit. Does this differ greatly if it is technical PM? Would love to hear thoughts.

Anyone exited to an integration role in industry? How do you like it? The company I'm talking to is a F500 serial acquirer looking to add some people with integration experience under their corp dev team. Doesn't seem like a PMO role on the surface but have a feeling it will be. Any thoughts?
