Down in dumps as I realize that the carefree empty nester life I was planning, to focus just on myself, my career and my likes and dislikes, has been completely upended by COVID, a husband who has not been impacted, continues to do well in his career and is oblivious to my desires and anything outside of day to day living, and sudden additional family responsibilities due family tragedy. Once again what I want is on the back burner, my cause seems hopeless - why do women get impacted so much?

Serious question, why does going to the gym and doing an intense workout raise my lidio/drive and make me want to run home and and just go to town. 😩🥹

It’s my birthday in a few minutes. 2021 has been a terrible year for me. My marriage ended. It wasn’t a bad end though. We are still close, just not romantic partners anymore. The very first dog I ever had died and I couldn’t go see her because of the quarantine. I didn’t get a promotion that I more than deserved. I don’t think I get paid well. Most of my friends moved out of the city and I’m having to meet new people at 32. I love my job but it’s incredibly stressful. I’m terribly lonely.

I recently went on antidepressants for my anxiety and it has helped tremendously. I felt like I was in a constant state of panic and anger before. Meds are available if you need them!

One of my siblings has a substance abuse problem since their teen years. It’s impacted me and traumatized me deeply. I keep in touch with them regularly because they have small children that I don’t want to be isolated from them in case of a relapse. My sibling thinks I want to have a relationship with them and it triggers me when they say they want to hang out more than what I have boundaries for. I don’t really want a relationship, I just want to stay close to keep an eye on their sobriety.

Clawback clause in current contract: been in role for over 2 yrs, it was an internal move that required relocation. Relocation was approved shortly after (over 2 yrs ago) but covid meant the actual move and start of my contract with new subsidiary was delayed, I was paid by the previous subsidiary meanwhile. I got small relocation package. Would internal move be subject to a buy-out/clawback clause if I leave now and if yes, is it time in role or time under new contract? Any experience? Thanks!
