During an interview for an HR position, I was told the VP of hr was genuinely impressed with my skills and qualifications and even spoke of the position as if I had already had it. Said the position would not be open until the current merger was done they were going through. That was 2 months ago. A week ago, she told me she hadn’t forgotten about me and that they were in a hiring freeze at the moment but would be reaching out soon. Starting the interview process at a competitor and the people I will be interviewing with know my current team members just from being in the industry and I think some even used to work together. Does it go without being said that the people I am interviewing with won’t say anything to my current team members or should I be concerned about this?

Why would recruiters reach out to me, say they want to talk, then not follow up? Should I call them instead?

Hello Fishes, I interviewed at a company in October and they responded to me after a month. I accepted the verbal offer last week Wednesday. They said they would give written offer in a week. I have recruiters from the same company reach out for positions at different locations. My current recruiter said once I accept this I can't interview for other positions at the same company. Their process is so slow that I don't really want to miss out on any chance.What would be a great time to follow up?
