Uhh yeah c-suite don’t make 10-30M... go look up proxy statements. It’s more 1-10M range, with upper being ceo and lower being more ancillary csuite

like

Of course by cushy I meant you’re not working 70+ hours a week like you do in PE. Was being relative

Which F500 is paying $10-30m with a cushy ride to c-suite?

like

You’re more likely to make $10m in PE (if you can get into PE) by riding it out to partner level, then you are ever to make it to c-suite in f500. Also, the stress at those levels from shareholders, board, analyst ratings, earnings, is far greater than what you’d receive as a partner at a PE firm

Do UMM PE MDs make $10M if you average out the years with bad deals and no carry?

My figures are just based on Hendricks and struggles report

I'm new to the industry and this is my first corporate job. Been working as a BI analyst for about 2.5 years and I roughly make $80k. I'm having a hard time trying to gauge how much should I be making, or if I speak to my manager about increasing compensation how much to ask for so I won't sound absurd. Do you all have any tips on this or are there any tools that I can use to accurately gauge how on average much I should be earning?

Does anyone else find it difficult to ask for time off? I haven’t taken a “vacation day” since February, billed 185+ hour months consistently through the pandemic (exceeded hours for 2020 bonus eligibility), and am feeling pretty burnt out. It’s hard because other associates in my department haven’t really taken any time off either (or it has been a day or two sporadically). Would really love to take some days over Christmas to recharge but I’m nervous about perception.

aside from salary, what would you personally negotiate in an offer and what can you negotiate? obviously vacation. paying for courses? attending conferences? relo?
