Hi all - just joining and looking for some guidance! I am currently in an IT internship position (making pretty solid money considering) and following this summer I will stay on part time during my senior year (discussing a full-time job offer after already). I’m getting my computer science degree, so I would like to do something more technical in the workplace when I graduate. How do I advocate myself for that to my manager without sounding unappreciative of the position I’m in?

I’m in Creative marketing and looking to add some tech skills to my belt. However I don’t know where to start. AI looks interesting and I’ve seen a few people use AI to create art but is there a need for this skill in the company or any other FAANG company?

I can really use some direction. My background, I've worked 2 years in strategy and am currently coming off an exhausting year 2 in investment banking. I didn't particularly enjoy either role and am not interested in moving over to the buy-side or some monotonous FP&A role. Everybody says there's exit-ops aplenty, but I find myself with less options and even more picky than I did as an ambitious T2 undergrad student. Where do I go from here?

Does anyone have any insight into partners retiring early? I am at a point where I need to consider leaving if I am not aiming for partner. I don’t see myself working past my 40s. My partner and I are not big spenders and anticipate have enough to retire comfortably in 40s (obviously a lot can change). I have been assured I will become SM in next year (currently 31 years old).

Does MBB ever let people specialize in Life Sciences right off the bat at the post-MBA Consultant level or do you always have to start out as a generalist?

Just got another rejection... Is exiting to FAANG or MB really this hard? Trying to go tech.. or mbb, but not getting anywhere. I have 2 masters (mba, ms) from top schools, been in consulting for over 10 years, I am confident that I know my stuff well..but still I keep getting rejected. I currently work at a medium sized firm and have about two years experience in personal injury litigation. The billable hours and lack of work life balance are really getting to me and I am looking to switch to something else out of litigation, preferably in house. I work heavily in AWS and am looking to learn another cloud platform. I have zero knowledge of azure and gcp and would like input on which to learn. Azure would make sense since its the second largest in terms of market share, but GCP seems far more interesting and technically challenging with things like Kubernetes and BigQuery.

I’m at a small company that’s sort of becoming medium sized, and a new exec pushing to quickly implement NetSuite and I just want to make sure we’re not getting in over our heads, he’s trying to get this done within two months

Currently interviewing at JPMorgan in their CIB division for a associate operations role. Have met with 5 people for two different teams and another person for another team, all of which I believe are 3 total open positions for 3 different teams. CAIA or CMT?

I do institutional sales for an asset manager. Am graduating in the fall with an MBA from a top 40 school. Would like a designation but dont want to do the CFA.  Between the CAIA and CMT: which one is more applicable to asset management, and better status/recognition? appreciate any insight

Just curious to how my firms (wealth management/bank/trust) comp compares with others out there. I received a promotion earlier this year from an Investment Advisor, AVP to Senior Investment Advisor, VP and moved from $110K to $140K ($130 salary + $10K discretionary bonus) all in. By meeting expectations in 2 pay cycles, the base bumps up to $175K + bonus. Grown in this role over about 10 years with the same firm, MBA + CFA; top 10 city and living comfortably as dual income household.

What is the typical pay range for fund of funds? Looking for salary / TC information.
