Name and shame the firms doing stealth lay-offs.
Hi fishes,
Any guess how many people are laid off from Publicis sapient in past few days? Really scared for my future as I'm also under probation period and deeply regret for my choice of joining this firm...I don't understand why were they recruiting peeps when they were short of projects. Publicis Sapient

Why was your utilization that low and what steps did you take since last year to fix the issue? Was your utilization low due to a medical related leave?
FYI, the hours you’re out on official medical leave (as in short or long term LOA or FMLA) will be backed out of the calculation for utilization and doesn’t count against you.
You should be worried….were you on PIP for this year or were you marked as BCLP?
If you were on a PIP/BCLP, you’d know it…it’s not something you have to go check on. Based on the history you shared, If you end up rated “below” for the performance year we just wrapped up, I would make sure your resume is up to date for sure.
I wouldn’t be too worried. Sounds like you’re on a project and it wouldn’t make sense to layoff someone who’s on a project and replace them with someone new.
If you end up rated “below” at YE, or are on a PIP/BCLP, it doesn’t matter if you’re on a project currently or not, you are in a bad position. It’s been that way every year end.

Pip isn’t necessarily posted. Are you having weekly check-ins with your coach? Etc that’s the tell tell.
You absolutely know if you’re on a PiP (now BCLP). It’s a very formal process up front and has your coach, USDC leadership, and Talent involvement. Nobody on a BCLP is surprised to hear about it at year end when it impacts ratings.
