Interviewed at Deloitte, PwC and EY for Advisory Senior Consultant role. Deloitte offered $105K (plus $5K bonus), PWC offered $127K (plus $15K bonus) and EY offered $155K (plus $10K bonus). Surprised with the difference in pay between Deloitte & EY for same role. Is Deloitte Advisory paying less compared to other firms? 4.5YOE in Consulting.

Thought Leaders are highly revered roles. From a comp perspective, they are priceless.
From an expectations perspective, they require deep and proven expertise in the art of taking a sh** without stinking up the room.
For the ideal candidate, sales targets are a conversation below them.

Also, what impact if any does that type of role have on PPMD prospects? Our I&TL folks seem to have a slower progression to MD

EY person here Without looking at the roles it's hard to say. I'd imagine that one practice decided to stick that on there because it's something that they wanted to emphasize. It's like they expected in the other practice, but they have been getting people with it so they hadn't thought to add it.
Pro
I would read it as one practice thought to include it and the other might have might have forgotten. Feel free to DM me the practices that I can give you some insight.
Just say you think outside the box and excellent at problem solving and they'll be like damn bro, you're hired 😝

EY1, haha, fair enough. Any thoughts on comp range? Currently based out of the Atlanta area
Thought leaders have lower chargeability targets but are expected to contribute in other ways. You should probably figure out what those other things are before signing up for that job.

Fair enough. If it’s similar to what we do at Accenture, I’d be interested. I’m just not interested in those things at Accenture because we seemingly don’t do a very good job of making room for our I&TL individuals to contribute in those other ways. It all ends up being treated more like plus ones on top of SMA roles on sales pursuits and inflight engagements, which defeats the purpose and misaligns expectations with reality.
