Received offer from late-stage (Series D) startup. Really like the company and industry, equity package is solid given their stage but base salary is only a 7% bump, and below the range I (contd)...
Pwc cmaas S1 salary for MCOL?
Which is better for salary long term? Job hopping for bigger raises? Or sticking with a company hoping to move up the ladder more quickly?
Looking for advice. Do you think it’s best to stay with a solid team/supportive management but lower salary or jump to another agency for more $? Learning how much I’m underpaid from recruiters. 😕
Is there actual risk, not speculation, of the firm taking away bonus if you give notice after comp statement issued (Aug 26) but before paycheck deposit (Sept 6)? Has anyone’s bonus been taken back?
My mortgage banker called me to ask why I refinanced my mortgage after only 3 months of loan payments (I got a better rate elsewhere). He was angry; I think it might have impacted his team’s bonus. Did he have a reason to get mad or did I do nothing wrong?
Hey y'all! I just accepted an offer with Microsoft in the FRP. Does anyone have any recommendations for progressing within the company and making the most of the opportunity? I've heard a lot of stories of how crazy the salary can get so I'm definitely interested in hearing about various experiences! Potentially pivoting into consulting/product management. I'm honestly very open to multiple pathways and at this moment aiming for promotion and exposure asap!
Recently relocated to a new city (MCOL) from HCOL, got a big salary bump, was thinking about saving money and got a really cheap studio. But I hate the place so far for 1) I can hear noise for everything 2) The place is too small 3) emotional depressed for living in such a small place. Should I pay 1.5X rent to get out here and get a nice place?
EY 🐠- interviewing for a cyber role in the commercial practice with 5 years of experience. Ideas on target comp?
At what level and salary do EMs exit into FAANG? I'm a recent EM at MBB and I'll look to get out of consulting soon. Can one expect L6/L6 at 300K for bizops/strategy roles? Top 10 mba +2 years MBB
3 yr assoc. just moved to mid firm. Brought files with me which have collected my salary to date - 4 months. Does not even include other work yet firm is questioning me re billable hours. Reasonable?
Expected signing/relocation bonus for experienced associate moving from Chicago to NY for a big 4?
What is the base salary range in consulting ie EY, ACN, Deloitte et al for a delivery lead with 15 years of experience?
Can I leverage an offer from Deloitte for 20% higher than my salary here at at EY or is even attempting to leverage a bad move?
Manager @ Deloitte + Army reservist that will be taking a 12+ month military LOA (for a deployment). I’ll be receiving differential pay but will I receive my performance bonus while on leave?
Anyone else getting delayed start dates on their offers? I have had two written offers - both November start dates and similar reasoning behind it (once more work is available they’ll bring me on board). I accepted one, declined the other. Should I continue to apply/interview until November in the case things fall through? Or just wait it out where I’m at currently? (Side note, hate where I’m at currently lol)
Ladies! I am looking for comfortable heels now that we are going back to the office and client site. How do people feel about the block heel pumps? Do you think it's cute or a little old-fashioned? Thanks☺️
Best exits in Atlanta? Tech consultant with 6 yrs of consulting. What compensation should i target?
Looking to eventually break into FAANG PM and wondering if I need to pursue an MBA first. Non-target undergrad, but have SWE and product experience from current and previous roles. What’s the best path forward? Any advice would be hugely appreciated!
Are bonvoy discount codes easily shared? I missed making a wedding block reservation and now there are no rooms in the block available - price difference is +$50. Thanks!
All I want is HBS and to make Partner at MBB, followed by a leadership role in banking. I am such a basic brown girl. I tried a couple of Finance jobs, but as soon as I landed in consulting I was like stability and prestige, hallelujah. My parents didn’t even pressure me. So basic.
If anyone is looking to join a fast growing healthcare tech company please let me know! We’re on a big hiring push over the coming weeks, ranging from engineering roles, client services, account management, product management, and HR.
I joined Amazon recently and I want to know what is the process for reimbursement of phone bill? I know its $50 something. Could anyone please guide me through the process Amazon
I don't get the point of getting an MBA. I feel like there's nothing b-school can teach you that you can't teach yourself... and networking is feasible without the help of an overpriced university.
Do a lot of consultants need an MBA to advance their career? Also, what firms give you the highest chance of getting into a good program besides MBB?
I am due to take 2 weeks parental leave sometime in the next month and have an offer lined up. Is it better to tell the new place I would prefer to push my start date to take my leave and join two weeks after (accounting for 2 weeks of notice when I get back)? Would that be burning a bridge with current firm (taking leave and giving notice as soon as I am back)? I want to avoid losing 2 weeks of salary during that time if I can.
From talking to students at multiple M7 schools, it seems like all of the BB/MBB/FAANG companies recruit at most if not all of the schools . So if you're planning on recruiting for one of these, is there really a major difference in career opportunities between each school? Asking because it seems like some schools are specifically known for finance vs consulting vs tech, but if the companies are all recruiting at all these schools, the differences don't seem as pronounced to me.
I’m going to take a week off and I would love some book recommendations! Either a great novel (fiction or not) or an inspiring book that makes me feel hopeful about 2021 (it’s been a rough year..)
Thoughts on cyber exit opportunities from B4 to tech or defense firms with 2 years of software security experience and active sec+? Have heard work life balance and hands on experience are more common in industry
Are MBB/consulting experience + technical masters (e.g., data science, CS) ever complementary when looking at exit opps, or are they too different to overlap (or, in other words, will the former have been a waste of time if pursuing the latter)?
This 4th of July has been the worst one in my whole life. I found out my significant other was cheating on me, my dog got really sick and now my pregnancy test came out positive...
I believe "Qualified Immunity" regulations be extended to Teachers and Coaches, like the cops have. We both police less and demand less from the public as it erodes. Should this be fought for by our unions/legislatures?
I’m in trading operations. I graduated during COVID and it has been my ultimate goal to become a trader. I know it’s insanely difficult to pivot from back office to trading but I would welcome any advice on making that transition.
What's a good name for a Slack channel where we share upcoming work? Anyone got one of these at their company and if so, what so you call it to get people to participate?
