Phone Screens, Zoom Interview with hiring manager, Face to face with hiring manager. (Then asked for professional references) , impromptu Zoom meet with other leader who was completely disengaged. Then boom... six weeks of silence vague texts from hiring manager they were still going thru the process..

I have a looming sense of self hatred. I take medication I workout and do all the things to feel good, but it’s just stuck there. Constantly thinking I’m trash, in a bad person, etc. Feeling guilty for things idek if I should feel guilty about. This is a privileged problem and I know it’s minuscule to compared to the actual struggles of so many people in the US and abroad. Just wondering if anyone has felt this as well and if so, how do you get rid of that self hatred?

Any tips for organizing a bedroom, closet, dresser & bathroom? My teen has IADHD, and low executive functioning. Her room looks like a land mine. Clean clothes are mixed in with dirty, her desk is a disaster, she won’t let go of clothes she’s outgrown, drawers are open with clothes hanging out. A therapist said to close her door if we don’t want to see it but it’s more than that. She needs this important life skill & I don’t know how to help. Easier to organize w/o her but that’s not a solution.

My current company isn’t enabling me to gain the necessary experience or grow into that career field, but it’s what I’ve wanted since I decided to enter the industry. It’s also so difficult to get a job in merchandising if you don’t already have experience. How can I get there?

Have any designers with 10+ years experience successfully been able to pivot careers within the industry (without taking a pay cut)? It seems near impossible to make a switch without having the exact experience in a particular category. You would think design skills are transferable for the most part 🤨
