Yes. I have 4; stick with 2
I have three under 5 (Manager level) - it is a bit tough right now in this phase but will be short lived. The kids love each other like crazy and its a good energy (albeit LOUD) in the house. Go for it. ... also helps guarantee at least one will take care of you in 40 years when you start to lose your marbles 🤪
Three in a five year span is perfect. Says the guy who grew up in that scenario. Perfect spread, in my opinion. Think of it less from your perspective than your kids’. They will be more important to each other than you will be to them. One sibling is good. Two was better. And I see it playing out the same with my kids.
Three kids here. Makes things like hotel rooms and plane trips harder, but man, I love my youngest. Feels like a crew. It will be hard no matter what. Go for it!!
I have two under 4 as a consultant. I try and draw a firm line between weekends with family and weekdays completely invested in work. I have seen several partners do the same (seemingly successfully from my point of view). I think the key is making family time family time and not have one foot out the door. I think being completely engaged as a father or a partner, not both, is the only way
I have 1, but he's loud and has a ton of energy. 3 sounds bad.
Overlooked the PWC partner bit. How long til forced retirement?
The kids love each other like crazy. That’s what I’m talking about. My siblings are my best friends
I think it depends what your other half does. If they’re committed to be the primary care giver and knows they are in for, then I think it’s manageable. If they are trying to have even a semi-serious career then I think it’s a big stretch.
Also depends if you would be happy to dial back your career for your family. I’m not sure I would be so we will stick at 2, even though in an ideal world I would like a bigger family
I have a 2 year old and one on the way soon. Am broke as hell and wife hates me because I have to travel to client sites. Going to have to find a new job with less travel and more pay. Not great situ
M1, was in your position. Ended up finding a boutique firm with a local/nearshore model. So far it's been great. A lot less travel, and was able to negotiate a significant bump due to my big 4 credentials. No regrets.
