Is HARMAN really recruiting for permanent remote roles? Would they ask us to come to office after sometime? I am a bachelor woman supporting my sickly parents and can't move them out of city. And my city don't have harman office. HR did mention permanent remote, still want to confirm as I've heard many cases people were called back across different product based companies. Narayana Murthy's ideology is the main issue here. He says Indians are not meant to work from home because they live in small houses.
Here is his statement -
"Murthy went on to say that work from home system does not work in a country like India where people live in ‘multi-generational households’, ‘have poor Internet bandwidth’, and ‘do not have a separate room to convert into a home office’. He also highlighted that India’s productivity was less than Bangladesh's during the Covid times."
@Infosys is still hiring in 3.5LPA as a starting salary and complaining Indians don't have enough room in their house. The entitlement is on the next level.
This same person is feeding his daughter millions of unpaid Tax in Britain and kept doing business in Russia. You are only considered human if you have white skin and are called "Client". They don't care about their people of their own national. We are just a cog in the machine and that is all.

He made a practical statement. It should not be taken as an offensive one.
hah they will understand in a bitter way.
wfh (for me atleast) : 9am-1:30pm > lunch > 2:30pm-6:30pm > break > 7pm-9:30pm
wfo now (for last 3 weeks) : 9:30am-1pm > lunch > 2pm-6:30pm (in this time also deeuct some time for office bakar).
made it clear that i will not connect after reaching home as travel is pain in bum.
this brings a straight forward loss of 15hrs/week/head of productivity for blood sucking orgs.
As stated by SSE1, all of this is Narayan Murthy’s ideology and the current leaders are still following the same ideology, is seems. Murthy is the correct definition of a “boomer”.
Companies that are far more successful than Infosys gave WFH. Not sure why is it a problem for Infosys.
Dude, listen up. I work for a company that has been giving flexibility (work from anywhere) since it’s inception in India. Also, other companies provide a lot many perks whereas WITCH provides a bare minimum salary so that their employees don’t starve to death. I have never seen any perks or benefits of working in WITCH except for the fact that they provide employment to lakhs. Also, I do feel proud that I work at least 5 days in a week which justifies my salary unlike the big shots in WITCH who don’t know a thing and do trivial things to justify their salary.
You say that you’re not defending Infosys but, look at your comment. You definitely are defending Infosys and it’s evident.
I have seen this. This step is initiated by a few team leads. They live in the same job location and are usually bored at their homes listening to their crying babies/wives. All they want is a change but they dont consider others problems.
Bhai tum bore ho rhe ho to tm jao office hm nai ayenge.
A manager at client side is also trying to do the same thing to us also. Our company follows permanent wfh/wfa policy and they are like office to ana hi padega. Agr mei arha hu to sab ayenge. To which the client side employees responded with multiple resignations 🤣
Infosys should be last organisation to join 😊
I got really good ctc in tcs so i will join 😅😅but you are right 👌👌
No wonder infy had the highest attrition in the recent quarter.
It's called marketing, marketing your way to tune in to office, and glorifying it. Nothing to be offended.

Deloitte 1 You will disagree becz we all are in our comfort zone by doing WFH . Direct communication , human touch is also required if you go higher position in your career .It is nothing wrong if employer asking to come office for some days in a week.

It isn't degrading.Hybrid model is a win win situation for both employee and employer. If you all employee work from home then real estate business will slow down eventually govt GDP will impact. Govt is also forcing employee to come to office daily. if this degrading Ask JPMC/wellsfrgo/BOA employees. They are already coming to office thrice to their respective office.
Infy 3- US isn't growing because their employees are working from office. They care about these matters much more than us. You got to get your perspectives corrected.
apparently, those who are not working from office are not true blue infoscion?
Makes me go crazy too. I'm currently starting at around 9:30-10.. a lunch break of hardly 15-20 minutes.. go up to 7:30 in the evening.. a break of 3 hours for my personal stuff.. than I again work from 10:30 till whenever.. also my team is way too distributed over the country so what's the point?
Only if it works that way.. easy to say..
So called leaders who are still following murthy's ideology in this are just having double standards.. ignoring the ideology of the architecture Murthy gives (because it costs a lot) and following his ideology for working from office because people are "enjoying" at home..

actually hybrid is good option.. without coworker communication your other things will hamper like you tend to become more introvert also alongwith that health problems will arise in future due to sedatry lifestyle like heart attacks, diabetes.. remember human is social animal
Yeah thats why swiggy also recently has commited to permanent wfh so that their employees can also give excuses and become introvert. Seriously these managers need to calm down and lets other live how they want.
yeah
I don't think there is anything degrading about it. What would they get forcing everyone to work from office if the productivity from home for all employees is higher?
Infosys 3- Deloitte has asked only those people to be back to offices who have to deal with crucial personal information. JPMC has major projects which are into payments domain hence it makes sense for them too a bit. I myself was working with Deloitte, post pandemic they have absolutely adjusted to wfh and are giving ample time to be adjusted. They are not working like Infosys where 1 DC head is giving chocolate perks to employees to come back to offices and another DC head has become a dictator to get people back to offices. Deloitte has told all of it's people that currently it's your choice to be working from home or office, but still try if you can make it, else in Jan 2023 we are expecting you guys to be back to offices. Here in this post my idea was to not bash the wfh/ wfo rant but the email and the ways these guys are using to make people go back to offices. Just the difference between how a big professional firm like Deloitte gives the ownership to people and on the other hand how Infosys is using cheap ways to get people back. Hope I have answered your thoughts.
