Hi guys,
Need help,I am joining VMware Banglore on 27th June. During interview I told them I need wfh. They said it wil be wfh this entire year. Only mistake I did was i didn't permanent wfh. I took for granted like once I join i can opt for it ( as my VMware friends had said we can opt for it)
Now the offices have started, I am scared if they call me to office , I have 14months son, not willing to leave him n go for office.
So if I ask manager to give me permanent wfh will they agree ?
Hi Infosys guys, I have cleared one technical interview and got email for further round which is planned for tomorrow. Email mentions that this is a telephonic interview, is this supposed to be an HR round discussing salary or another tech round.

McKinsey & Company Hi everyone. Hope all is well.
Recently took the McKinsey & Company game (not sure if I have an interview yet but preparing nonetheless). It’s an entry level business analyst position and an entry level digital position and was wondering if anyone wanted to case prep with me. I’m willing to work on anyones time zone. (I’m located in Sydney, Australia).

Congrats OP! Very happy for you and this is really motivating. How do you know the reason why you got rejected from the other companies?
Recruiters are definitely the starting point for any job.. so reach out and build relationships with as many recruiters as possible. In my case, I also got lucky that I had a great recruiter who helped me throughout the process.

It says a lot about consultants where half the posts are “congrats” and the other half are “tell me more information so I can increase my own chances” without the congrats
Also. Congrats

You’re too nice, OP. Much nicer than me. I wish you tons of luck in the new role.
What company? Position and salary?
It’s is mostly a sales role.. with some delivery responsibilities.
"ask me anything".. yet every answer is go to levels.fy
Sorry to disappoint you. I am only referring to level.FYI for the comp related questions. Everyone here has a different yoe, exp, education and skillset. It really doesn’t matter what my comp is.
What matters is how well the tech companies pays and if the public info on comp is accurate or not. So based on ur year of exp, u can find the comp details of ur target tech company on level.FYI and I can assure u that it will be in the ballpark. Hope that helps.

HOW WERE THE TAKE-HOME ASSIGNMENTS?! How much time did you spend per each, tips for managing on top of client work appreciated🙃
No take home assignment. I spent about 59 hrs of prep during evening, nights and weekends. It was very tough. During the 3 week period I only worked, slept and prepared for the rest of the time.

I don’t understand how ppl with 15 yoe get paid the same amount as 24 year olds at bcg 2 years out of college... what is going on with the world

Tell that to the Door dash new grads. <1 YOE making 450k TC.
What level? 5? 6? 7?

Congratulations!!! So happy for you!!!
Thank you. Let me know if I can help in anyway.
What’s the role and did you feel you were qualified enough given your projects?
Yes I was confident that I will be good fit for the job. Hard part is getting the interviews.

Details op!
FAANG, senior individual contributor role. Sales plus delivery. No people mgmt. comp at par with what I saw on levels.FYI. Role is remote ... with 50% travel when COVID is behind us..
Coach
I'll assume 250k TC 😂

Are you L5 or L6?
What kind of prep did you do for the interview?
Not quite.. but about 50 hrs prep each for at least 3-4 interviews for sure. Two of these were MBB so I spent lot of time in case prep... but didn’t get any of these jobs. Other one was a strategy role for a large tech company.. that didn’t work out as well. Knowing what I know now.. I should ha spent more time on my elevator pitch and why I am good fit for any role and research industry.
Do you think its possible for a tax associate to enter into consulting ? I dont even know where to start
Thanks!
Did you get a question on the fact that you got laid off? If so how did you answer it?
No they didn’t ask about my layoff. They didn’t ask and I didn’t say anything. Although I was prepared for the question and has the answer ready. I would have told them the truth if they asked.
So happy for you!! Good luck
Thanks
Congratulations!
Thanks
Does it require you to move? If so, what is the relocation package like? Also for the interviews, how many did you have and were they all different in style?
It’s a remote role, so I do not have to move. I had 9 interviews start to finish. All of them different, as the interviewers were from different teams, but the theme was common. All of them wanted to understand my background better.. how I will be fit for this role, my past accomplishments that’s slings with this role, my skills alignment etc..
Congrats on your persistence and landing the gig.
