Do we know what the starting salary for an associate in the Miami -fort lauderdale office is? Thinking about office transfer
Death to expense envelopes (Deloitte) starting 10/25!! All required receipts will be sent digitally!
Which companies / jobs where you can work a simple 9-5 life? I want to start a family soon and would like for a less demanding job. I currently have 3 YOE and live in the DC/North VA area with a salary of 110k.
Currently at Big 4 management consulting post-MBA. Have offers with MBB and FAANG (strategy). Similar comp. Which would you take?
Is 1600 per month too much rent for a single person in a medium COL city? Make 130K/yr, and I can definitely afford it, but as a standalone expense is it considered high
How many of you actually expense “luxurious meals” as a consultant? 🤔 all my friends think I’m rolling in our clients money
So how do I get workers comp for all the physical therapy I need now from sitting in a chair 15 hours/day for 6 months for an IPO that didn’t go through
Does anyone have a personal expense template they recommend for a college student to help teach healthy budgeting habits?
First time home buyer advice? I’m open to ALL advice. For context, currently looking to buy a condominium/townhome in the ATL market.
Big 4 partners. Help me understand this! If MBB could match 6-12% to 401K, why do big 4 match just 1.5% (3% after 4 years in some cases)? Btw pension plan is a joke, doesn’t compensate 6% match
What is a reasonable salary for an experienced hire without an MBA at BCG? (4.5 years of experience)
Thoughts on the value of having an MBA in Canada (say M7 or INSEAD)? Useful for a non business undergrad? Can't quite tell if it's as important as in the US.
Kid sitting next to me this morning has the audacity to this for a two hour flight 🤢🤢🤮. On top of that, his alarm on his phone was going off for about 20 min before his dad woke him up 😑
Looking to get an active dog (border collie) but live in midtown atl. Anyone have experiences with active city dogs - difficult to make it work without a backyard in the suburbs?
Random Q - I'm currently in the pipeline for a FAANG role (preparing onsite) and a recruiter from the company has looked at my LinkedIn every 4-5 days for the past several weeks. But it's not the recruiter I'm dealing with, I've never spoken with them. Any ideas why?
Just completed my annual benefits enrollment. I plan on going the entire year without ever seeing a doctor. New plan totally sucks. It was a choice between bad, worse and worst.
At most large (fortune 500) companies, are all referrals created equally? Or are they weighed more heavily if your referral came from someone on the team you are applying for
I feel bad admitting this because of the state of the world, but I had a great summer. After years of working in toxic environments with terrible people, getting laid off and having time to myself again was amazing. I finished personal projects. I got sleep. I read doorstop books that needed more attention than subway reading. And now freelance work is picking up (and I don’t hate it.) I even got Covid but only had mild symptoms. Banner summer for sure.
How much would you pay for an end to end recruiting service? Including coaching at every step, resume prep, applications on your behalf based on a profile of target company, salary negotiation, etc
Advice. I have to work from home for 2 hours a few days a week due to distance learning. Afterwards I use my lunch to drive to the office. I work earlier on those days so I can be off for an hour to help my kids. I am constantly having to remind my boss, even though it is in their calendar. They knew I was off for the hour and they kept messaging me to do something someone else already did. They said "I don't care do it again." Remaining rant in comments
What salary can you expect after exiting from an MBB after 2 years no MBA? Looking at strategy/operation roles in NYC and SF at FAANG and other tech companies (e.g. Airbnb, Uber, Lyft)
I have two contract offers: One is about Data Management/Quality project for 6 months, the pay is 5000£ per month, the other is product data scientist for an early stage startup based in San Francisco for 4 months, the pay is a lot lot less (less than 1000£ per month). Tbh, I am not a big fan of data management, and I totally see myself doing product analytics which is becoming a hot skill in DS field. Is it stupid to turn down the first offer and accept the second one? I would love some advice
Best cup to start weening off bottle? Tried the Nuk but baby doesn’t seem to like it. Can hold the handles and tilt but just chews on the nipple. Any recommendations welcomed! Thanks, moms!
Folks who have gone from Big 4 Operations to MBB strategy - what are some of the differences in culture, work life balance, skills needed, etc.
Going to training in Palo Alto, flying from Dulles. Is it worth laying over to get to San Jose Airport, or better to fly direct to SFO and Uber to/from Palo Alto?
