Firm allows billing for travel. I stayed an extra day for fun - still ok to bill the travel time on the way back? It would’ve been the same amount of time if I had left immediately.

Yes of course

Yes, you should just pay for one night of lodging but firm should reimburse the rest.

^this. I’ve done this almost every time I travel for work.

Why wouldn’t this be okay?

Yes, I travelled last year for work and did the same. I stayed an extra night with friend who lived in that city. Billed the way back with no issues.

Has anyone ever Upgrades to premium class on a flight (on Alaska in this case) only to cancel for a flight credit? Basically I booked saver fare, need to cancel it but don’t want to eat the cost. It’s $100 to upgrade round trip and premium class can get a flight credit. Is this possible? Or will Alaska not let that happen?

Work related expenses will be minimal, but Im moving/furnishing an apartment so personal spend will be decent. TIA!

I lateraled into a niche practice group in Sept 2021. I also have a 1 year old and have been mostly remote since I started - but have been keeping busy tracking towards 2400-2500 hours. That said getting to know people only remote has been kind of awkward at times (email only can be tough to decipher) although as a working mom the pros vastly outweigh the cons. Yesterday my main partner asked me to come in Thursday bc he will be there and set a time to meet. Is this good/bad?? kind of nervous!
