First and foremost I am a female, BUT I have a female boss that is not a leader and I need help. I am over worked and she recently received and email due to my lack of bandwidth, I admitted I was at fault but it is like she does not care and she is on my a$$ for an update in writing. She has issues with mostly women, I am not sure how to handle this….

Small firm (my boss, me, & a paralegal). After a hearing I did not handle, boss intended to seek review of the ruling in its entirety. What was communicated to me by paralegal was to seek review of a portion.

Seeking review is now time-barred. Boss is not upset, but this is 1 case & 1 problem. There are other cases & other stories.

How do I talk to my boss about being more present (boss is never in office, has “too many” emails, never answers his phone) without being seen as insubordinate?

In an informal conversation, a senior HRBP, considered a peer, called 2 of our fellow HR colleagues “worthless.” I should have rebuked her then & there but was so caught off guard.
