I am a full time teacher and have an online tutoring platform. I am looking for math teachers for the platform as we are currently at capacity. This is a way to supplement your income doing what you are best at. We do all the leg work, you just show up and shine your light. If interested, email me at aimee.buckley@study.help
For anyone using Khan Academy and Canvas I made a free application built on a Google Spreadsheet that reads in Khan Academy CSV files and sends the scores to the Canvas gradebook. Demo video below and link to site. Hope it helps someone! The setup takes a bit but it has made grading Khan exercises so much easier and quicker.

Classdojo!
I use Dojo too!! Love it.
Have you ever done Whole Brain teaching? I love it and it works with my 6th graders as well as it did my first graders!
I use a me|we points chart. Add a tally every time kids are doing what you love (on task, working hard, volunteering help, etc) and give myself a point when they break a class norm. I say “I’m going to give myself a point because students aren’t being respectful and talking when I’m talking”. Or “I’m going to give you guys two points because I love how focused everyone is while I’m explaining this math.”
The points grow all week and then move to a bar graph. My points cancel out theirs though so if they have 10 and I have 6 they get 4 that week. Once we save up 90 points we have a party. Classes are 90 mins. Works great.
Clear expectations (re visit classroom rules), modeling, and follow thru. When they talk say nothing (if you've already told the expectations). You could stand at front of room, look at clock and see how long they talk for. When they stop, say nothing and write it down on the board somewhere in a corner. Add the total time up before recess, and let them know that's how much time you had to stop instruction, while waiting for them to stop talking. Subtract from either free time, or another time that's inconvenient for them. *Make sure before doing this you explain there will be consequences if they choose not to follow classroom rules*. You can write a word like "recess" and quietly remove letters if need be (this can be gained back) also. Hopefully these help
