For a first year? Neither good or bad really. What was in the commentary?
If nothing then they just phoned it in or are one of those people that thinks no first year is good at anything and shouldn't have their efforts recognized, unless you were really bad then you need to be PIPd and fired.
KPMG 4 you have to initiate the review in Performance connection. OP, as a first year staff it is common to get that rating when your right on target (middle of the pack). It's also very difficult in my opinion to get higher ratings as a 1st year unless you are drastically exceeding expectations.

Thanks! You guys really helped; I wasn’t sure what to make of the review when I got it, and I felt weird asking my other first-year coworkers what kind of reviews they got. I got pretty good feedback from my manager in the write-in portions, a lot of positive stuff and some good constructive criticism on what I can work on. This gives me a lot of perspective!
