Elephant sanctuary and mountain biking in chiang mai! Best experiences in Thailand

like

Also, Elephant Jungle Sanctuary Chiang Mai. They provide round trip travel. It’s about 2 hrs outside the city, but real good.

For Bali you can take day trips to 1. Nusa Penida island- stunning views and snorkeling options. 2. Ubud to visit the rice terraces, waterfalls, volcanoes + elephant sanctuary 3. Mount Batur (volcano), includes hot springs. BKK- temples and markets, both daytime and nighttime. If you guys are a family of foodies you can easily spend 3.5 days eating your way through BKK.

Not renting cars and will be taking taxis.

Change your Bali hotel to the W! It’s on the beach and has a great party scene within walking distance. Go surfing in Kuta.

W was twice as many points. Also, Westin is on the beach as well. Night life is not a high priority for a family.

My wife got a job that requires us to relocate to San Diego. We have never lived there and know little about the city. We are planning to rent. We stayed in a hotel in little Italy and really loved the vibe there, but it’s too expensive for us. Are there other neighborhoods with similar vibes - restaurants, bars, lively, good for walking, clean, safe, young, diverse and accessible that are more affordable? Please share recommendations. How much should we reasonably budget to rent a 2bd/2bath?

Hi, I need help from you travel gurus if possible.

I'm landing in Arlanda / Stockholm at 720am and hoping to catch the 810am flight from Stockholm to Amsterdam. Is this enough time to make the flight?

They're separate tickets that I'm buying, although the airline is the same (Scandinavian Airlines) so should be the same terminal. Also flying business and won't be checking luggage.

Thanks!!

Anyone been to Tulum recently? Would you recommend going or staying away given recent news?

Had to cancel our honeymoon to Bali in 2020, and finally decided to rebook somewhere closer and got our Tulum trip all sorted for February. Now I’m feeling a bit uneasy about or given what’s been going on, thinking it would be at the forefront of our minds the whole time, at least. We have insurance, so we can cancel and go somewhere else. But am I overthinking it? What would you do?

Hey all - 2 years in consulting so far as a fairly "type b" personality - relaxed, uncompetitive, enjoy socializing with my colleagues. To be clear, this is not the same as being lazy or irresponsible - I am diligent and do my work well.

Nonetheless I think we can generally say finance/professional services etc. reward "type a" habitudes on its face.

Thought it could be fun/funny/supportive to share experiences as the chiller brains in these anxiety-fueled fields.
