Hi Fishes, I grabbed an offer at Accenture with 12 LPA fixed for Level 9. I'm not getting a retention offer from my current company at 13.5 lpa. How do I go about a counter offer with Accenture HR? Also tell me how to approach this situation smoothly.
If HR doesn't fulfill the counter offer, is it ok to accept 12 lpa fixed for Level 9 and when will I get a hike here and how much would it be approximately?
Accenture Please provide your insights. This is my first switch so I ne more exposure

Bain & Company I received an offer to join Bain & Company for SF office but due to family reasons, I will have to stay in the South Bay. Given Bain’s local staffing model, it will be challenging for me to commute to SF and back. Is it possible to be transferred to the palo alto office/is that office fully functioning or does it mainly serve as a hub for partners and research?
Bain & Company Is anyone else getting their application to Bain & Company pushed backed?
As of yesterday, even though I applied in May, and that while they liked my application, they will not be considering me till early 2023.
This is the second time they pushed back their consideration... 😞

If is definitely possible especially now with high demand..I think BCG one meant senior associate (not sr. Consultant) that is the most likely outcome with 12-18 month track to consultant. The 25% bonus is max though…highly unlikely you’ll see that more like half. Your PM comp is likely higher, not familiar with Apple but I understand G/F at l4 levels are ~230 which your not going to hit. Plus workload/intensity/hours is usually much much higher vs. tech.
There’s a ton of ppl interested in moving to PM at FAANG and tech in general due to high comp and perceived importance/prestige within company from MBB but super hard given the experience isn’t directly transferable and most don’t have tech backgrounds. Not sure why you would go other way around.

You are a PM at Apple and you want to be a management consultant instead?
At McK you’d be a senior BA - about $150K Tc
At Bain I’ve seen people do business school, then come in as a Consultant — otherwise you might come in as a “Associate Consultant” but they put you on a fast track for promotion to catch you up
Do you have a PhD? If so then a Consultant at BCG, 175k base, ~25% bonus. If not, a senior consultant, 130k base, ~25% bonus
*Sr Associate
Care to share what your motive for the move is? PM at Apple is what a ton of MBB consultants would give an arm and a leg for. And also, happy to answer any questions you may have, I came in experienced at MBB with about 2 years from finance, so similar situation.
I’m having trouble DMing 😂
I love how the automatic response here is “consultants all want to be PMs, what are you thinking?!”. 1) not necessarily true, and most PM paths are terminal middle management; 2) There’s a lot of motivations people have for their career
