How should I approach an ominous zoom appointment with supervisinpartner and managing partner? I’m a 3rd year associate. This is a new job, my first day was the first day the whole firm worked from home. It’s also much more challenging and demanding than my previous firm, which is what I wanted, but I haven’t been able to dive in and face the challenge the way I had planned to because I’m really struggling with working from home, both logistically and psychologically....

I need advice about Zoom. Is it easier to have a zoom link with your personal Id or a simple generated one? I want to connect my Zoom link in my clever portal, but for some reason the generated one doesn’t work, but I’m afraid if I switch anything it will mess up the flow. Any experts do we have advice?

Is Integration Engineer position at Zoom worth joining coming from Software Engineer position?

I am curious how other inclusion teachers are being utilized when the school is doing remote learning. I find that I am sitting in the zoom class and have very little opportunity to contribute. I am having discussions with my teachers on ways that I can better support them and the students when remote.

A female friend of mine recently received a settlement in a sexual harassment action against her employer during mediation. Anyone else getting conflicting messages on whether it is permissible to use Zoom with federal agencies? Some are insisting on using it (MSPB), some are saying absolutely can't use it (DHS, USDA).

Curious - sometimes I see people online on Slack and offline for Chime, but then others are offline Slack and online Chime. How do I tell who’s actually online with their computer open?

I was recently offered a Zoom interview. The school had 10 interview slots for me to choose from. Three were one day this week and the rest are next week. I chose the first time slot available. I see this question about how to display side projects often, so putting this out there for anyone who might find it useful:

There’s no such thing as side projects, in my eyes. Every project is an opportunity to display your creativity, and the few you’re most proud of make it to your book. Generally, the consensus these days is that we want our advertising to not look/feel like advertising. So, why should you be concerned to separate what was and wasn’t “advertising?”
