For a while, Adderall was a necessary evil. Even when I found my sweet spot, I still didn’t like it. And knowing I was pumping a constant stream of chemicals in my body also didn’t sit right with me. I’ve been Adderall-free for 7 months now, and truth is—I feel better across the board. My focus actually improved, my anxiety dropped (turns out a lot of it was tied to ADHD), and I just feel lighter overall. Not saying this is the path for everyone—but this is what worked for me. “… pumping a constant stream of chemicals didn’t sit right with me.”

“I microdose shrooms…”

Ain’t no shame in the medicine game - if it works for you, that’s great!

You are still taking psychoactive chemicals though, they just come from the mushrooms instead of the pills.

Also, ADHD meds are mostly “legal versions” of meth, not cocaine 😉

Everyone morning, as soon as I’m awake:
1. I do three Wim Hof breathwork rounds
2. An 8 minute heart coherence meditation
3. I take 2500mg of Lions Mane daily
4. I microdose shrooms 4 days on three days off
5. Once a week I do a deeper holotropic breath work class
6. I drink tons of water
7. I make sure my gut health is taken care of
8. I’m active and exercise
9. I make sure I’m getting my fill of nature at least every weekend.

It’s a journey, but soooooo worth it now looking back. I feel unshackled for once in my life. Simply sharing the routines for inspiration.

Amazing that works for you. Wouldn’t work for me. I can’t even reliably brush my teeth every morning. The chances of me sticking to a routine like yours are zero.

Meanwhile, I’m “pumping a constant stream of chemicals” into my body for other things too. Just as I wouldn’t shun my allergy or asthma medications, I accept that ADHD meds are what my brain needs to function.

While it’s great that your routine works for you — hey, it may even work for others too — but the very clear judgement of meds does nothing to help those who can’t make it work. A nice little addition to the usual feelings of failure we get when we can’t measure up, only this time it’s coming from inside the house.

Wow that is amazing to hear and I am glad that worked for you. You definitely have to do what is right for you and if being on or off medications works for you then great! Everyone has to do what is best for them :)

Anyone in the KPMG Lighthouse practice that would be willing to take a look at my husband’s resume and put in a referral? He’s interested in the Associate, Data Scientist position.

I’m interviewing for a marketing manager role at a company based in SF. I’m genuinely excited about the role and the company but we’ve yet to discuss salary. I expect to be asked at some point, but my research has given me a VERY broad range. So I’m here to do a bit more research. I’ve got 5 very relevant years of experience and will have an associate manager directly reporting to me. Are there any marketers out there who can share their salaries in similar regions and experience levels?

Has anyone found a way to automate salary certifications?

We get about 3-5 requests daily to fill out salary certifications for our employees in EMEA.

At the moment, we have to do all of them manually. We open a pdf, then open their employee file and plug away. It's tedious and time-consuming, but the banks I found won't accept an internal salary certification for some reason. They're adamant about using their form. Has anyone come across this?

I was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 12. My family did not opt to put me on medication. I illegally discovered Adderall in college. Worked incredible. Got diagnosed after college & after having been fired from my first job. Passed the CPA exams on Adderall. Went off of it again. I do everything well at my job except for attention to detail within my excel files & emails. Will taking ADHD medication really fix this? Does anyone else have this issue and was it resolved by taking medication?

For those who were diagnosed as an adult can you provide some insight into how you were able to obtain a diagnosis. I went to my primary care dr who referred me to another dr who specialized in mental health. He asked me about 5 questions before telling me I should see a neuropsychologist for an official assessment. The referral he gave me is super pricey and apparently isn’t covered by insurance. Is that normal?
