I don't know if this counts. But I am extremely understanding of people's personal lives. I go above and beyond to make sure there's coverage if anyone has anything in their life they need to attend to. I've been an employee, and I know how difficult it can be to your work life balance. I don't want any of my employees feeling like they're having to sacrifice parts of their life for my business.
A car? Sheesh lol. Usually just company swag or a personalized monogramed laptop bag, yeti, etc... probably need to step up our game now that I'm thinking about it.
That’s just an extreme example but curious to know other ways out there
While it is not an official "benefit" for our part-time employees, our department managers do a good job of creating a work schedule that fits their needs rather the company's. For example, if a woman has to drop children off at school or daycare at 8 a.m. and pick them up by 4 p.m. we can create a 9-2 or 9:30-2:30 schedule for them. If someone needs a few more hours to support their family, we can so 8-3 to get them 30 hours. Part-time employees are allowed half the PTO/sick days of full-time employees, which is a benefit some companies don't provide.
