It's not an ethnic name. It's my name. English names are ethnic.
This. I hate the word ethnic. There's going to be a day its banned, SO patronising and conceited.
I use my name and it always gets butchered but no way I am changing it to accommodate others
My full name. It’s who I am and part of my identity so I’m not giving that up to make other’s live easier.
I’ve had people not know my gender before we talk but I’ll let that slide. But everyone asks how to pronounce my name or I introduce myself first. If people make an honest attempt to say my name correctly I have no issues. Its when you ask me for a nickname to make your life easier that I have a problem and I will make it clear that I don’t accept that.

I'm a Korea national, but I use an English name in the US. By Korean social conventions, only my close school friends of my age, or my older relatives would call me by my first name.
As such, to me, it just sounds so weird and even a little disrespectful if coworkers or clients were to call me by my first name. In Korea people would call me by title (like "Manager Kim"), but I'm not going to force that on Americans here lol
My full first name. It is not a common name.
I tried a different name. Didn’t really make people any happier to deal with me. So now I use my own name. At least this way I can break the ice explaining what my name means and how it should be pronounced. Most people are accommodating.
I’m white as fuck and not first generation, but my name is an old family name, “ethnic”, and super not phonetic.
I go by my name. Many long time coworkers and bosses cannot pronounce it and I often see the gears turning in their heads as they try and remember how to say it.
Truth is they are doing their best. I’m terrible with names so I don’t blame them. I do sometimes think it’s an issue with leadership who would rather gloss over me than look stupid by not knowing how to pronounce
I go by my nickname. Initially was somewhat weird as it was usually super close friends calling me this, but it’s just much easier to pronounce.

I have a cool name, and I will not change it.
My name. All of my immigrant friends go by their names too.

Full name. It’s unique and memorable and has served me well when introducing myself with others. There are 100s of John, David, and Noah’s and they can be easily forgotten
I use my actual real name. I don’t want to work for any company where I have to whitewash myself to fit in.
Real name. But do whatever you think is best.
