For those in tax, how many of your interviews involved technical questions? I’m a staff interviewing for an industry role and the interviewer had 10 tax technical questions that she wanted to me to answer - journal entries, depreciation calculation, etc.

We are a small shop of 10 and are sorely lacking any people of color on our team. How do we recruit interest without coming right out and asking for POC to apply?

1) do leaves get sandwiched? If i take friday and following monday then its 2 days or 4days?

I have observed that people on testing domain or frontend are getting better pay than other new tech domains like blockchain, cyber security, data sci etc(4-11yr exp) .
For less than 4 years experience new tech job gettig good pay but others getting very less.

In dev job Java, spring r etc getting better pay. Also some SAP consultant are also get paid high.
Is exp people in testing/frontend dev are less due to which they getting better pay than others with experience.

So after two weeks of waiting (and giving up on the idea of getting the job really), the recruiter got back to me.

They said due to month-end and quarter-end close they were busy and couldn’t get back to me as quickly for a “good update”.

The recruiter said the CFO enjoyed our call, she, the CFO, will call me next week directly to “discuss some final things”.

- Corp Dev analyst role for a listed niche gambling company

The tech job pays 15k more, but from what I can see will be a cluster and super long hours (has EU stakeholders). Maybe a pipe dream, but I want to have a "somewhat" decent wlb while still growing my career toward strategy and finance.

Thoughts on which one is better?

When do you officially put in your two weeks? I have a written offer I intend to sign, but should I wait until they clear all the background checks and such (I have no more than a speeding ticket so I’ll pass). This is the first real job I’ve quit

When exiting to a direct competitor, is the policy still immediately being shown the door + notice period payout?

I am a young professional... But every job interview I’ve had so far pretty much just wants to know what kind of person I am. They are as interested in my leadership/communication as much as they are in me talking about my experience.
