Our office set up two rooms in a private area of the building (minimal foot traffic, yet readily accessible) that offers a clean and secure location for people to use. The room has blinds that cover all windows, has a refrigerator that is exclusively used only for nursing, and the room is locked from the outside. Only the Facility staff and the person using the room has access to the key. In cases when there are more people pumping that rooms available, those employees coordinate use of the room for privacy so they do not occupy the room at the same time unless they mutually agree to do so (this has happened ONCE in over a decade of my being here).
Lastly, anyone who needs to pump and has a personal office also has the option to do so in their office. It is not recommended, mind you. But since they can lock the door and cover the blinds, it is their decision. We cannot force people not to do it. That said, we DO NOT tell people to do it. If they do it, they do it at their own choice.
We have designated rooms. I forget if we call them nursing or maternity or just private rooms.
Wellness Rooms. Available to all, but when there is a conflict, those needing for pumping get priority.
