For those of you who were in corporate strategy roles within finance/banking/asset mgmt...what executive recruiters did you use when you wanted to leave? I want to leave my current role, but don’t even know where to start looking. I’m a former consultant / top mba. I’ve focused on wealth and asset management. Mostly Growth strategy and M&A / diligence.

So I left my analyst role at a financial firm last year to get into real estate. Now I miss having a structured work environment.

Turned down a gig at Apple two years ago because I saw a lot of growth opportunities at my current company and saw the position as a step back (even though it was more money) and have regretted it ever since. Still in the same exact position at the same company I was then btw. Bad choice.

I just had the initial call with HR. I was told that Senior Analysts start at 56k and Business Operations Specialists start at 67k. I was told the next step was Junior Manager but they rarely started anyone at that level. I'm shocked. Is that accurate or are they trying to lower my expectations? I have an MBA and an MHA and 20 years military experience.

Hypothetical: hiring for a Lead Product Designer position to own direction of a data heavy saas app, would you hire someone that pivoted into UX from marketing and graduated HCI masters recently or someone who had a web designer/dev freelance & UX consulting background?

Just based on those two points.
