Rising Star
I don’t ask but I will search their title / company on Glassdoor for a rough estimate
I have never asked a potential partner how much they make.

I genuinely question who let some of these men into the real world… part of me feels like it’s a red flag I haven’t been in a relationship in five years but i have tried.
I’m just only finding men with red flags who work in grey areas
I have never asked questions like that unless we were in an actual relationship. Conversations around career are perfectly normal but I wouldn’t use salary as a metric to determine compatibility. I personally also considered if then human was compatible with me far above salary. I would encourage you to look deeper than money.
Being in the financially industry, I recognized that odds are I would be the breadwinner and I’m comfortable with that. My husband makes a good living - around $100k but less than me. Never mattered at all to me. I wanted him to have a decent career and ambition to help me build a life for ourselves.

Depending on if you want to value more emotionally connected or quality of life, then decide if you want to ask. Generally only asked for occupations
Depends on what role money plays in your decision to pursue a relationship. For some people, it could be a red flag if they previously had to provide for a partner and it strained the relationship
I tend to take a more gradual approach when it comes to discussing money with a potential partner. I mean, it's not exactly first date conversation material, right? Usually I like to wait until we've been seeing each other for a little while and have built up some trust and are comfortable with such things before diving into the nitty gritty details.
