Hello I got a confirmation from HR at Shell that I have been selected for a role and there will be background checks before joining the company. He said the mail will come from a 3rd party vendor for the background verification. It has been 1 week and there has been no mails till now. Is it normal? Should I follow up with the HR again?

What is considered the red flag? That they don’t require a CRM certification? Or that the salary is too high/ low? Also which CRM are they referring to? Salesforce?
No certification but now I understand why—they don’t have the CRM in-place yet! And I thought the salary was too high—made me suspicious. But after talking to them I do think it’ll be a lot of work, so it will likely warrant the pay.
Salary is on point
Thank you, good to know!
And what did the interview entail. Did they ask for references?
Really? That is interesting. I was told that is a “red flag” when they don't ask for references.
Does this role include managing an admin(s) or would you be the admin?
Without knowing much about the role and job description, I would consider them not requiring a certification as a red flag.
