Our school is preparing for a student initiated “mask off” tomorrow. Students are planning a little civil disobedience. Any student not wearing a mask will be sent home.

Personally, I applaud them for standing up for themselves.

Our administrator is intent on seeing it fail, but such is the game...

Moved into a doorman building for the first time on a covid discount. I didn't realize how well off all the other tenants would be, its a bit unnerving.

How long is it sustainable to talk to someone without meeting in person due to covid? I find myself getting bored because the meeting in person is what determines whether we actually vibe.

Do I have a drinking problem? I live alone. I cannot wait for wine at 6. I work my ass off sober 12 hrs a day. Then I drain 2 bottles of wine. I wake up parched and confused and do it again. I did not have Excedrin yesterday and had to shuffle to Rite Aid to get it. Plus a xanax to chill. But I WORK and produce and never let anyone down. Is this OK? I just work, drink, sleep, repeat.

Since Covid happened, I keep seeing posts about people working longer hours from home than at office. Well has anyone actually achieved the opposite, which is working less hours? You save time on commuting, meaningless meetings, coffee breaks, random questions from coworkers, etc. This question doesn’t apply to parents with young kids.

Just received an offer letter from a tech company based in CA. Only a “background investigation and reference checks” are listed as the contingent portion of the offer, nothing about testing. Does anyone know if they are required to explicitly say whether or not they drug test in an offer letter? Genuinely curious especially with Covid right now and the last place I want to be at is a clinic.

How is everyone dealing with the continual work from home issues due to Covid?

I’m a first year transactional associate. I love tattoos, but so far have been getting mine in only places I can easily hide. I’m getting tired of that, though, and want to start moving onto my arms and lower legs (I’m a woman, and I do enjoy wearing dresses to the office especially in the spring and summer).

I don’t really face clients except on Zoom, and even post-Covid I don’t see that changing due to the nature of our meetings.

Would love to hear people’s thoughts.

What are your thought in job hopping? I feel like recruiters are reaching out daily to offer a newer, higher paying position at competing PR agencies. Does it look bad to switch large agencies every 1-2 years? The pay raise is over 10k but I feel like this may make my resume look unattractive in the future since I switched companies during COVID.

Anyone else enjoy traveling during covid? Less people in the airport and on planes.

My firm just hired a new, young (male) associate. He was barred a couple years before me (a May 2020 grad/barred Jan 2021) but did unrelated legal work for one year, then worked at another plaintiff’s firm for a year before making the jump. So he has some relevant firm experience, but the other firms’ operations are different. Anyway, I basically have to do both of our work, and he’s sooooo casual about it too. Currently studying for the DP-100 exam. Any tips/tricks for studying? I'm currently using the MeasureUp practice test, taking a Udemy course, and looking through the self paced study material.

MeasureUp: a lot of really obscure questions and the documentation references aren't great.

Udemy & Self-Paced Doumentation: very high level and the practice questions are too easy. I could answer most without following the material.

Also, there isn't a lot of overlap between the study materials.
