Fresh out of college with a Bachelor's degree in science (Game studies and design) and it's impossible to start career growth. But that's ok, I've been working diligently on my own games. Trying to keep it small and doable, I'm not really a programmer. My aim is to become a game producer but I can't really do that off the fly. I can make music, write narrative, and do pixel art. Not a lot of starter jobs for the game industry to be honest.

Anyone have any good advice for getting students to think/respond on their own? So many times when I ask them to write their own thoughts about something and to explain why they hold that opinion, many students get stuck and/or turn to the Internet. And then I find myself repeating, I’m asking for YOUR thoughts about this, not someone else’s. I teach grades 9 & 11.

I got an offer from PwC. The joining date that I had agreed from my side was 2 June. But I don't know that even in probation the NP is 90 days (it was mentioned in the release doc as 1 month but I didn't take that screenshot as proof). I told the whole issue to my recruiter and she sent a confirmation mail stating that she will revise my joining date by 90 days without issue. Is there any chance they can revoke the offer? I have put down my papers already.

Are most companies paying for you to learn new skills? When acquiring new skills are you mostly self taught? What are your best go to sites for learning animation or video skills? Trying to gauge the norm on expectations for new hires who need to know everything from print, web, video, social and animation. Can you do it all?

How do you count years of experience? Lets say you were a web master for 5 years. Then you transitioned into a proper UX role and did that for 5 years. Is that 10 years of experience or 5?

I started a new job just 7 weeks ago, but an opportunity for a dream job just suddenly and unexpectedly fell into my lap!
