What US law firms tend to hire more LLMs?
As an ADC applying this summer for 2022 start, I haven’t gotten a chance to connect with any L.E.K. Consulting members and I really want to get to know the company better before moving on with my application. Any L.E.K. Consulting fish out there willing to spare a few minutes to chat about their work, the company, the culture etc? Thanks!
I recently got a verbal offer from KPMG strategy. Is that more prestigious than like, most other firms? Like, I know MBB is done with recruiting; I feel like below MBB for name recognition is the Big 4 and other firms aren’t as reputable. I’m trying to decide whether or not I should interview and apply to other firms or just take this one (assuming a written offer ever comes along). Also, I prioritize work culture and exit opportunities over salary, but don’t want to be paid below poverty line.
🥱🥱 you can’t never trust nobody

I recently got an offer to join Deloitte Consulting LLP as an Analyst in Government and Public Services in the Business Technology Solutions profile, based in their Harrisburg office.
(I also want to mention that I have offers from Accenture & PwC right now, with a good chance of IBM being another one)
The offer was 88k + 12.5k signing bonus.
A friend of mine got the same offer but his offer was 91k + 12.5k signing bonus. Difference is, he’s based in Chicago.
I’m fine with my offer now b

If you're not sure what you want to do long term, I'd take the SWE role with the higher base. If you're close to DC, total comp will be so crucial with such a high cost of living in that area.
What do you think you would enjoy about each position? Do you have experience in either? It's important to consider the positions and responsibilities as well as the compensation. You don't have to stick with either forever, but you do want to do what you can to ensure that this experience is a positive one to build your career on.
You can also get some advice at Refermarket. The platform has discussion like Fishbowl where people can exchange ideas.

First, congrats on getting these roles. My advice is to take the SWE role, but this is assuming all other factors are already taken into account (ex: Prestige, Growth, People, Culture, and others) and are equivalent to both the SWE role and OW.
SWE role is more about your hard skill in coding whereas consulting is more about a mix of soft (communication, project management) and hard (limited financial analysis, data analysis, excel) skills. It is easier to transition from a pure hard skill job to a mix skill job. Worst case after a year you don't like SWE then you can always try consulting again. I bet every consulting firm would be happy to recruit a former SWE onto their team. Best of luck with everything.

Which one do you like more? Tech will always slap consulting but not if you don’t enjoy coding. If you do, think about how much more a FAANG will pay later down the line than MBB
Tech and don’t look back, consulting not worth it
