As far as I'm aware there aren't any outside of PE and IB (although not sure if those even recruit post MBA?). The thing is, consulting salaries in Europe are low compared to US because ALL salaries are low compared to the US (at least at the higher end of the scale, I suppose minimum salary an the like are possibly relatively high). This is also why the complaints about low EU consulting salaries are so trivial.

I don’t know about BMW but I know that Unilever offered associate brand managers below 40K gbp 4-5 years ago. Salaries are notoriously low in Europe.
None. Really.
I am speaking about Switzerland specifically here. Even if you're a MD of a consulting or F100 firm, you will "only" make ~3 times more than a cashier working in a grocery store. Almost everyone here has decent salary, many have a good salary, but very few have a very high one (except maybe famous lawyers, very performing RMs in private banking and a business owners of big companies). That's also why it is more and more difficult for companies to hire.
A cashier makes about 50k.
You will barely find an f100 MD below 500k in Switzerland

The trainee programmes that I am aware of are post undergrad and are low pay even for EU standards

Yes because, most firms are including firm-side salary expenses that should not be there in the first place.
The most funny thing is that’s everyone gets the same payroll and no one really reads it.

Internal transfer, much easier if you have ‘personal reasons’. Normally you can get a L1 visa which is not a lottery system but you will be stuck with your company. Getting someone to sponsor your H1B will be very difficult. Another path could be - US Master’s - Job -> As a new graduate (if STEM) you can work in the US for 3 years and your company would then try to get you an H1B visa but nothing is definitive as it’s a lottery system, so you could end up just coming back after 3 years.
