I would, but to OW. No bias whatsoever :-)
On comp alone - shouldn’t have joined McK to begin with. Go forward advice depends probably on your total horizon to remain a consultant and how much you enjoy McK; depth of network and the type of work you want to do.
With this considering definitely stick in current company. Switching jobs will increase pressure/working hours as you need to prove yourself again and find the constellations you want to work with.
Wouldn’t make the jump if non-Lebanese, even with a NA passport
Why would you entertain the option of going from McK to T2 besides pay? Everything else is similar if not worse (i.e., WLB, quality of interactions, teams etc.)
The pay difference at EM level is quite significant . 50k usd plus
Only reason I’m entertaining it
Do it for 1-2 years . Have another $100kusd cash on had
What is the TC for a principal at OW?
Whats the year 1 partner comp at M vs BCG vs OW?
Probably yes to BCG, wouldn’t go from T1 to T2
BCG 2, spot on. Have seen K, OW etc regularly winning projects against MBB. K is amongst the leading firms in the region and nowhere globally. When you see the number of talent movements cross firms it reduces the spread of quality between T1 and T2. And again reality is what matters here is Money…and T2, T3 are really competitive

S& definitely not but would consider BCG/OW. I don’t think the BCG gap is that significant anymore is it? I believe OW pay is still top bucket + they get extra comp via school fees paid for the kids etc

Not Lebanese so S& is automatically worse for me than other places, plus they are in the middle of layoffs and apparently ethnic discrimination is taking a part in the layoffs. If you’re not lebbo, no point is going to S& imo

I m doing so as we speak and not only because of $ delta

Money is key factor plus other matters. After some point you realize it’s really the bank account that is left , when all said and done
Depends on what your long term plans are, nut generally just moving for money alone isn't a great move, particularly when switching between consulting firms. Try to get AP and then move up as a partner at T2 for example

No. Transfer to a different geo where MBBs are market leaders in pay
I’m considering a similar jump. T2 still pays more than BCG

Which T2?

If you want to make Partner, don’t do it. T2 Partners have a much harder time selling compared to MBB
Yes you are right - I am not saying there is no value. Absolutely not. I am referring to what you have called personal brand. A personal brand would mean you are known in the market and random clients are looking for your name. Relationship means a client who knows you and with whom you had a great project will call you back
