GM folks. Only 2 question please. I have a 760 GMAT, a top 5 MBA (big MBB feeder) & non-traditional bkgrnd. Recently dinged in the final rounds of Mck & Bain on-campus. Planning on re-applying next year.

1) My MBA GPA is borderline bad since I got the idea that once you have a top MBA, no one will look at grades. Will the transcripts of MBA matter if I apply as an experienced hire next year? What can I do now?
2) Does your referral have to be from the same office or could be different office?

Hello. Just curious on what's the salary ceiling for a manager position at Deloitte? Received a verbal offer and waiting on written offer. I was told by a recruiter that M at Deloitte doesn't make more than 180. Just curious if that's actually true and if anyone had experience negotiating higher salary than 180.

Why do many associates at top tier firms stay to make Partner when they can go in-house in tech and make around the same, even long term? For example, you can make near 400-550k in-house at Google, Netflix, FB with 8-10 years of exp. More senior than that in-house, it can easily break $1M.

I flunked out of school and had no options when I joined the army. I hated every second of my time in, and spent all my weekends getting as drunk as possible.

Now that I’m out, I graduated with my BA in Econ, got a job I love, and somehow got into an M7 Bschool with a 670 GMAT. I look back on my time in and laugh, and still talk with some of my old army buddies (though not as often anymore)
